About our community partnerships programme

By supporting our partnership programme, you are extending a Perse education to children beyond the School's gates.

The Perse collaborates with state-maintained schools to deepen their learning opportunities.

The Perse has developed relationships with several state-maintained schools, both locally and further afield. This enables us to share our expertise, support and experience where it can make the greatest impact.

We work with the staff from our partner schools to identify how we can help. Many pupils in these schools don't have the opportunity to learn a musical instrument or learn about coding. The Perse Community Partnership Programme changes that. Perse staff and pupils work with our partner schools to provide enrichment opportunities in a range of subjects, including music, computing, maths and more. Your support makes this possible.

How you can make a difference

£10 could fund art materials for a primary school pupil taking part in an art history mentoring programme.

£250 could pay for transport costs to bring a class of primary school pupils to The Perse for one session.

£300 could pay for hockey kit to ensure that every child at our Primary Hockey Club has the right equipment.

£1,000 could pay for Science Project Books for a whole year group of primary pupils.

£1,800 could pay for a year of music lessons for a year group at one of our primary partner schools.

Partnership stories

See how your support makes a difference.

We have a developing partnership link with the Pilgrim Pathways School who provide education to children and young people with complex mental and physical health needs.

“[Your] work means that we are able to broaden our curriculum offer to young people while they are in hospital, feeling confident about the quality and relevance of our offer to their schooling. In supporting us to upskill our staff, you are making a very direct contribution to the lives of students who are at a real risk of being completely disenfranchised from education" - Pilgrim Pathways School

Our partnerships programme has grown, connecting Perse pupils with a network of 28 primary schools for regular staff led mentor sessions with Year 5 and 6.

Upper Sixth computer science pupils pay regular visits to Harston & Newton School to help their Year 5 and 6 pupils learn more about programming with Python.

O Fortuna! Community Concert

The Upper and Prep choirs linked up with choirs from St Alban’s Catholic Primary School and The Bellbird Primary School for the O Fortuna! Community Concert at Saffron Hall in 2023. In 2024, two more primary school partners joined in to perform Bob Chilcott’s The Voyage at West Road Concert Hall.
